About Franklin Memorials
Here at Franklin Memorials we believe that any memorial is a lasting tribute to a loved one, and a lasting symbol of remembrance of a life lived. We take great pride in the caring, personal and professional service that we offer to help guide you through the important decisions to ensure your loved one is remembered in a lasting and dignified way.
We can produce bespoke memorials for your loved ones in a wide range of stone materials, colours and designs to create a memorial to suit your personal requirements. Your chosen inscription will be carefully engraved by hand in our own workshop and you are more than welcome to visit us to inspect your chosen memorial before it is engraved and again before it is installed.
Based in Highworth, Wiltshire on the Blackworth Industrial Estate, we pride ourselves as being local to the immediate surrounding area and have detailed knowledge of the individual rules and regulations of the Churchyards and Cemeteries in the Swindon, North Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire and South Oxfordshire area. We understand that it is not always the case that the final resting place of a loved one will be close by, so we can offer to personally install the memorial outside of our local area should you wish us to.
The company was originally formed in September 2016 by Geoffrey Evans and Paul Franklin and registered at companies house as G & L Evans Memorials Limited, (Company number 10393630) to compliment Geoff's long established and respected funeral services business, G & L Evans Family Funeral Services. Geoff and Paul between them had over forty years experience in the funeral services profession and with this came a great understanding of the compassion, understanding and attention to detail required during times of grief. This was very much carried over in to the memorial business and is the foundation of the company.
On Geoff's staged retirement from the funeral services profession, the company changed its name to Franklin Memorials Limited in April 2017. Geoff continued in his role as director until finally retiring in July 2018 when Paul was joined by Sarah and Duncan Pudney. Sarah an apprentice of Geoff Evans and fully qualified funeral director with over ten years experience in the funeral services profession brings with her, the same compassion, understanding and attention to detail that was instilled in her by Geoff.
Our workshop and office is based on the Blackworth Industrial Estate in Highworth, Wiltshire.
Customers are welcome to visit our office to discuss their requirements (by appointment) or Paul is more than willing to visit customers in the comfort of their own homes to discuss their individual requirements.
